Description

The Sabbath day was a Saturday and the last day of the week for the Old Testament Jew.  It was a special day that was given by God to be a blessing for man.  It was a day to rest, reflect and remember what God had done through creation and in their lives.

In the 10 Commandments, the Jews were to remember the Sabbath day and keep it Holy.

But, the Jewish Religious leaders had taken the day and made it a burden to the people with all of it’s restrictions and regulations.

Now we are no longer under the law, and Sunday (the first day of the week) has replaced Saturday as a special day to the church because Jesus rose on Sunday.  But no longer being under the law or instructed to keep the sabbath day holy, does not mean that we are to treat Sunday (The Lord’s day) as any other day.

We are still to take time to be Holy, and we aught to still take the Lord’s day and keep it special.

Listen as our pastor shares some practical ways to Keeping the Lord’s day and making it the day of the week.
