It is All About Perspective

It has been said that, “perspective is reality.”

How you view something will impact how you respond.  Your perspective of life will mandate how you live life.

So what is your perspective of God?

David, King of Israel had this perspective:

“Wherefore Thou art great, O LORD God: for there is none like Thee, neither is there any God beside Thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.”  II Samuel 7:22

David’s view of God was an awesome one!  It was also one rooted in reality.  His view of God impacted the way David lived his life.

Defending sheep from a lion or bear?  God is greater! God delivered David and the sheep from the great danger of a mighty predator.

Overwhelmed with a situation in your life?  David was chosen above all of his older brothers and all of the other men or boys in Israel to be God’s anointed King.  There is none like God to deliver you through your circumstances!  David became king and ruled for 40 years.

Facing a giant difficulty in your life?  David, as a young boy, faced a warrior giant nearly 10 feet tall!  Everyone else was afraid of the giant, even King Saul.  Yet God is bigger than your problem and can give you victory over the giants of your life.

David had an appropriate, accurate, and experiential view of God.  There was no one like God!  And, David was a victorious king, and led a courageous life.

If your view of God is small or limited, fear, intimidation, and trepidation will reign in your life.  But, if your view of God is as it should be a BIBLICAL one, then God will reign in your life.

A proper, Biblical view of God will cause fear, troubles, and trials to be but speed bumps on the road of life, because your faith is in an awesome God.

There is no one like the true and living God!  Let God change your perspective of Him.  Then, you can trust Him, turn to Him, and call on Him.. and let Him take on the day!
