Sunday's Sermon Summed Up: Face to Face with God
February 3, 2015, 9:16 AM

Joshua 5:13-6:5

Joshua met with the God face to face(via the Angel of the Lord: Theophany) as the nation of Israel was preparing to enter the promised land of Canaan.  We too can have  personal intimate meetings with God.

1.  If we are to meet with God in a powerful way we must prepare to meet Him and realize that God prepares us to meet Him through various means.  He does so to create a song longing for Him and prepare our hearts to fellowship with Him as we are marked as belonging to Him.

2.  Always realize that God will show up in our time of need, but He shows up in His time as He knows best.  It may not be our preferred timing, but He is always on time.

3.  As you prepare to meet with God, realize the meeting may not take place or form as you think it might.  Meeting with God can be settling and convicting but it will also be comforting and reaffirming.

4.  Understand that when we meet with God that He wants to hear from us but also He has a message for us.  Be prepared to hear his message for you and be prepared to obey his message no matter what it is.

5.  When we have a powerful, personal face to face meeting with the Lord it will always result in a humble worship, a holy walk and a heavenly preparation as we go forward for Him.  Meeting with God face to face will change the way you think, the way you act and the way you live.
